December – Why The Nativity? By David Jeremiah

– Why the prophecies?  Why would He let them see what was to come?  Because He loves us and He wats us to know what lies ahead, whether for our encouragement or a sober warning.  Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2, Isaiah 49:6 and Isaiah 53:3-5.    Does knowing that Jesus’ birth fulfilled prophecies made hundred of years beforehand affect your life?  In what ways?

– Why did God become man?  John 1:14.  If you were God, would you have chosen the same method to reach humanity?  Why or why not?

– Why Mary?  Luke 1:28.  When you read your Bible, are you quick to believe and accept like Mary, or do you question and disregard?

– Why the Song of Mary?  Imagine you have received the greatest news of your life, the greatest honor you ever imagined.  How would you respond?  Luke 1:38.  If you were to compose a song of praise to the Lord, what would you tell Him?
